Sony Theakanath is an experienced technology executive with a strong background in product management and artificial intelligence. As the Director of Product Management at Meta from January 2020 to January 2024, Sony led efforts in platform integrity by deploying machine learning classifiers and large language models at scale. Previously, as the Director of AI Research Product, Sony co-led the development of next-generation multimodal foundations aimed at achieving artificial general intelligence. In 2020, Sony served as CEO and Co-Founder of Nibble, envisioning a 'digital passport' concept to personalize physical spaces. Prior experience includes leading product and engineering at Apple Music and co-founding Asaii, an analytics platform acquired by Apple. Sony is also an active angel investor and advisor to startups. Sony holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
