Karyn Scanlon

Karyn Scanlon possesses extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Manager of Energy Market Strategies & Wholesale Power Marketing at Manitoba Hydro since 1993. Karyn has held various roles within the organization, including Manager of Wholesale Power Marketing, Export Power Sales Manager, Market Development Officer, and Export Sales Officer. Additionally, Karyn has managed the myBudget project and contributed to Corporate Accounting & Internal Audit. Karyn's leadership extends to the Canadian Electricity Association as a Past Chair of the Electricity Canada Power Marketers Council and to the North American Energy Markets Association as a Board of Directors member until April 2024. Karyn's career began at KPMG as an Auditor from 1991 to 1993. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from the Asper School of Business and a CPA, CGA designation from CPA Manitoba.
